A Delhi Wedding Photography Story | Sarthak+Florianne

An epic Delhi wedding celebrating the love of two lovely people

Sarthak and Florianne’s love story began almost eight years ago when they met in college in the UK. In the next seven years of long-distance, their love only grew stronger over time. Their tale started in the UK and culminated in a multicultural grand Delhi wedding spread across The Leela Ambience and A Dot. We love how their trust and affection for each other kept them strong through time and space until they reached their happily-ever-after.

Don’t forget to scroll down to see their epic wedding trailer!

Part 1: Pre-Wedding

From the very first day, we could see how natural Sarthak and Florianne were with each other; an intimacy they built on years of love and trust. We shot their pre-wedding in the beautiful Taj Damdama. In fact, the pre-wedding gave them a chance to spend some alone time with each other; something they hadn’t had time for in the hustle-bustle of the wedding. And besides, we were only too happy to be unobtrusive, and get some lovely moments of them together.

See how they’re so happy with each other!

Part 2: Sangeet night

The three-day wedding celebrations kicked off in the Leela Ambience with the “Neel-Angan” themed Sangeet ceremony.

Sneaked our gorgeous couple out of their sangeet for a quick portrait session.

Part 3: Mehendi and Cocktail

The next day began with a joyful Mehendi function in the afternoon followed by a kickass Cocktail event at A Dot’s Xs Club in the evening. Undoubtedly, Sarthak’s side of the family showed us that Punjabis know how to truly party! Obviously, Florianne’s family wasn’t going to be left far behind. After all, it was their daughter’s wedding celebration. The amazing singer Mika had everybody dancing to his tunes!

Part 4: Delhi Wedding

Sarthak and Florianne’s wedding ceremony was a beautifully carried out musical affair with Ameya Dabli’s soulful voice. Their loved ones came from around the world to see them get married. And we loved every moment of the wedding festivities and being a part of such an enthusiastic and fun family!

Watch Sarthak and Flo party with their families in what was one of Delhi’s most epic weddings this year!

A Delhi Wedding Story | Varsha+Arjun

A Hollywood-meets-Bollywood Delhi wedding of one of our favourite couples

Arjun and Varsha’s two-day Delhi wedding at the Heritage Village Resort in Delhi last year was one of the most fun and heartwarming celebrations of love. Their story described by Varsha’s brother is like a Karan Johar movie with all the mush and romance.

The couple met on the set of the movie “The Hungry” in Mumbai. She first brushed him off as just another actor but soon realised that Arjun had a heart of gold which was meant for her! Don’t forget to scroll down and see their wedding trailer!

Part 1: Pre-Wedding in Neemrana Tijara

Their pre-wedding was shot in the beautiful property of Neemrana Tijara. They look super comfortable with each other and seem to have a lot of fun!

Don’t their photos in the mustard fields look like a poster from a Bollywood movie?

Part 2: Sundowner mehendi and sangeet

Their Delhi wedding celebrations began with a sundowner mehendi function that seamlessly transitioned into their sangeet function in the evening. Their friends and family had prepared a lovely musical skit mixed with dance performances that spoke the tale of their journey together.

Varsha being a stylist and Arjun an actor (The Magicians), the wedding was star-studded with their industry friends like Mithila Palkar (Little Things), Yashaswini Dayama (Dear Zindagi), Antonio Aakeel (Eaten by Lions) and so many more amazing people whose work we admire and respect.

A sweet proposal on the sangeet night.

Part 3: Haldi ceremony

Arjun and Varsha had separate haldi ceremonies followed by a colourful holi party with both the families together.

Part 4: Delhi wedding ceremony

Arjun danced his way to the wedding venue in his baraat with family and friends – sans horses, carriages, or any fanfare. Varsha’s most-awaited bridal entry brought tears into his eyes. And the vows they had written for each other made not only them but all of the wedding party, cry. This Delhi wedding ceremony was a beautiful affair of love and togetherness.

Watch Arjun and Varsha in their very own Bollywood blockbuster below!

Arjun and Varsha are super kind and compassionate people who believe in giving back to society. So they collaborated with Plan India to support women and young girls. Take a look at what they did during their Delhi wedding in a short video below.

Abu Dhabi Destination Wedding Story | Nitya+Mohit

A grand celebration of Nitya and Mohit’s love in an Abu Dhabi destination wedding

In this wedding photography story, Nitya and Mohit married each other in a magnificent Abu Dhabi destination wedding at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, earlier this year. It was a joyous and vibrant celebration of their marriage. Their family and friends made sure that it would be a memorable event for the couple for years to come. Here are some of our favourite moments from their wedding.

Part 1: Pre-Wedding in ITC Grand Bharat

Before we flew to Abu Dhabi for their wedding, we did a short pre-wedding session for the excited couple at ITC Grand Bharat. Their chemistry was so sweet and loving that it was a fun afternoon shooting them in the gorgeous ITC property.

We are always fascinated with bougainvillea – and when we found a gorgeous bush in a remote corner of the property, we made a beeline for it!
Once the sun set, it was time for some fun silhouettes!

Part 2: Moroccan Night

The wedding celebrations started in Abu Dhabi with an over the top, grand Moroccan night. The couple entered amidst a group of arabic dance performers and that set the tone for the rest of the evening. There were belly dancers, and other performing artists making the after-party a truly vibrant and energetic affair.

It was time for the entire gang to let loose, and they had an after-party that Abu Dhabhi would remember for a while!
It’s not a party without a champagne shower!

Part 3: Pool Party & Sangeet night

The next began with a relaxed pool party. After last night’s party, it was a much-needed rest for the guests so they could recharge for the sangeet night. We managed to get a few quick portraits of the couple before the event began.

The couple made a quirky entry on an oyster-on-wheels with colour bombs and Go Go dancers to add a pop to the event!

Percussion drummer Walter kicked off the event with some wicked beats!

The sangeet evening was truly a magical and splendid event. We witnessed some amazing family performances and a grand finale performance by the bride herself! Not to mention, Nitya’s father brought the energy of the sangeet to a whole different level. It was clear he was super excited and happy for his daughter.

This wedding was quite special for us. A few years ago, we were also a part of Sia (Mohit’s sister) and Ashu’s wedding. So we were glad to be a part of the family’s celebrations once again.

Nitya’s Dad and his rockstar moment!
Nitya was suddenly 10 feet tall!
There’s nothing more apt than a photo-booth prop like this one.

Part 4: Haldi

The haldi ceremony was messy, fun and crazy to the core! Nitya and Mohit’s friends and family pulled out all the stops for this one! While Nitya was doused with haldi, kethcup, chutney and whatnot, Mohit was splashed with all kinds of soft drinks!

Out comes the soft drinks!
Yep, that’s Ketchup.

Part 5: Wedding

As always, we had to rush down for the baraat but not before we captured our groom-to-be all dressed up and ready to go!

We just HAD to capture this gorgeous red Sabyasachi lehenga in front of the iconic mosque of Abu Dhabi.

When Nitya was getting ready, her dad walked in to put on her bridal set. (Backstory: her dad is a famous jeweller in Hyderabad, so his jewellery has made countless brides stunning on their wedding day.) When it was time for him to dress up his own daughter, it was a super emotional moment for the both of them (watch the video to see what he says!).

Nitya’s trusted bride-tribe.

Once she was ready, we had a few minutes to make some portraits of the bride.

Wow, that set! Just HAD to make a photo of it.
Against those gorgeous huge windows at the Ritz Carlton.
The magnificient Ganga aarti before the wedding celebrations began!
The happy couple, fresh off the mandap.
For her vidai, the couple left in a gorgeous Rolls Royce Phantom. What a lovely car.

All in all, we had a lovely time making this destination wedding story for Nitya and Mohit. We wish them a lovely life together!

Kenya Destination Wedding Photography Story | Paayal+Samir

A Kenya Destination wedding story full of laughter and love

Paayal and Samir had a beautiful beach-side wedding in the city of Mombasa in Kenya. Gorgeous sunrises, the sound of the sea waves, perfect weather every day, and two passionate people in love – this set the base for their Kenya destination wedding .

The wedding celebrations lasted three-days at the Sarova Whitesands Resort, Mombasa. Their wedding ceremonies – yes, there were TWO! – were a dream! They had a Hindu wedding in the morning followed by an Ismaili wedding in the evening. It was such an honour to capture one of the most important days in Paayal and Samir’s life.

Part 1: Pre-Wedding

Their pre-wedding was just as beautiful as the country and the people we were shooting. We’ll admit, our couple was not the most enthusiastic about waking up at 5 in the morning but when they saw the pictures, they agreed that it was a great idea!

The real challenge and the beauty came when we took the boats into the sea. But Paayal and Samir were champions up there and we love the results!

Part 2: Welcome Party

The welcome party was a casual and informal event to kick-off the wedding festivities.

Part 3: Haldi and Sangeet

Samir’s haldi ceremony was an affair that even we couldn’t have imagined. After the main rituals were done, his friends and family broke eggs on his head, made him wear a garland of dead fishes, and splashed him with all the haldi around!

Their sangeet ceremony had some amazing dance performances by the family followed by a night of dancing and more dancing! So much so, that at some point, I think we were also tapping our feet while shooting.

Part 4: Hindu Wedding

Set against the backdrop of the ocean, Paayal and Samir’s wedding venue with the mirrored mandap and the pastel pink roses was truly magical. Paayal was stunning in a pink Sabyasachi lehenga and the wedding ceremony was their dream come true.

Paayal’s Mom got emotional as she saw her daughter dressed as a bride.

Part 5: Ismaili Wedding

The couple had a smaller and an intimate Ismaili wedding ceremony after the Hindu wedding. The joy of finally getting married is so clear on both their faces.

Part 6: Reception

The reception with a 1920’s art deco theme took us back in time. Paayal and Samir made an entry with a bang, dancing together towards the main stage. It was a beautiful culmination to the three-days of this Kenya destination wedding.

Bangkok Destination Wedding Photography Story | Trisha+Rahul

Trisha and Rahul’s dreamy Bangkok destination wedding that lasted for almost a week

Set in the vibrant Bangkok city, Trisha and Rahul’s wedding celebrations lasted for four splendid days in the Anantara Riverside Resort and Avani Riverside Hotel. Trisha and Rahul’s Bangkok destination wedding was what fairytales are made of. It was a joyous task to make a same-day edit for this beautiful couple. Don’t forget to scroll down to see their wedding trailer!

Part 1: Pre-Wedding in Bangkok

We shot their pre-wedding in Bangkok’s Wat Pho temple and on a boat on the Chao Phraya river. They had such easy-going chemistry that we just had to set our frames and wait for a moment between them, which were plenty!

Part 2: The Wedding

They kickstarted the first day with a beautifully intimate wedding. The couple wanted to marry in the presence of just their closest family and friends, so they decided to have a small wedding on the first day and welcome their other guests for the rest of the functions after.

You could see the love shining in Rahul’s eyes as Trisha walked the aisle towards him hand-in-hand with her father. And everyone shed a tear or two, as Trisha teared up during the Jaimala ceremony.

Part 3: Coctail, Brunch and Sangeet

The wedding day was followed by a fabulous cocktail dinner on the rooftop of Avani+ resort, the next day. The lunch themed “50 Shades of Blue” the next day was just gorgeous followed by the sangeet night.

Our stunning couple entered in a vintage car and ended the night dancing on the tunes of the famous singer Hardy Sandhu. And they certainly knew how to let their hair down at the after-party!

We loved how they had a separate “sand vows” ceremony the next day, to make the promises to each other a little more personal and distinctive to their relationship.

Part 4: Reception

As usual, Rahul and Trisha made a stunning pair at their reception. It was a night full of speeches, tears and love all around. While Trisha’s Dad made a speech that made everyone cry, Rahul and Trisha’s dance as a couple made everyone wish for a love like they have.

Goa Destination Wedding Story | Nikita+Divyanu

A Goa destination wedding set on the backdrop of a dreamy beach, perfect weather, and two best friends for life

Best friends that became partners for life. That’s our crazy, amazing, energetic, powerhouse couple Nikita and Divyanu. They got married in a big and beautiful Goa destination wedding in ITC Grand surrounded by their family and friends.

Nikita and Divyanu met in college, became friends, and stayed friends long after graduation. Everyone who knew them could see their chemistry and how great they were together. Even they knew that they were the best of friends – they cared for and supported each other and through the years they came to trust each other. So naturally, when it came to choosing life-partners, Nikita and Divyanu chose their best friends, they chose each other.

When we shot Priyanka’s wedding about five years ago, we had no idea that half a decade later we would also be shooting her sister Nikita’s wedding. And to top that off, just after this wedding, we were also part of Priyanka’s sister-in-law, Sunandini wedding!

Part 1: Delhi and Goa Pre-Wedding

We had two pre-weddings for the couple! Their amazing chemistry comes through right at the first minute you see them together. We shot a super-fun and casual save-the-date for them at Divyanu’s gorgeous house. It was a fun day running around with the duo, playing basketball, and cuddling with Divyanu’s dog. Divyanu had a small movie room with a projector in their house; we decided it would be fun to project some graphics on the couple and shoot them there.

Here’s a small snippet from their pre-wedding in Delhi.

When we reached Goa, we didn’t want to let go of the opportunity of getting some pictures of the two together by the sea, so we planned a quick pre-wedding session a day before their wedding festivities began.

Part 2: Sangeet

The sangeet was packed with some amazing dance performances. When Nikita and Divyanu dance together, their chemistry is just electric!

Part 3: Haldi Ceremony

Divyanu had the craziest, and we mean in a good way, haldi ceremony we have ever seen! His friends and cousins could hardly wait for the pooja before they started the haldi wars and the flower showers. Nikita’s haldi ceremony was the same. Her friends and family had a lot of fun colouring her and she got her revenge on them too.

Part 4: The Wedding

Their wedding day was gorgeous with clear skies and the beautiful scenery of ITC Grand Goa. Nikita had the most beautiful sunset bridal entry and the mandap set on the beach made it all dreamy.

Part 5: Reception at A Dot, Delhi

The party didn’t end there. If you know the Guptas and the Khandelwals, you would know that they certainly know how to party! They had a grand reception in Delhi at A Dot to welcome Nikita into the family.

Dubai Destination Wedding Photography Story | Nikita+Patrick

A spectacular Dubai destination wedding celebrating love between two multi-cultural families

We knew this Dubai destination wedding was going to be something amazing when we met our bride Nikita and her Mom a few months ago in India. It was going to be a blend of two families and cultures, bringing together two people in love in a lifetime bond. The couple began dating when they were in colleges, and now live in New York City but decided to have their wedding in Nikita’s home in Dubai. From that very first day, we knew this one would be something special; after all, whatever happens in Dubai happens larger than life!

Part 1: The Pre-Wedding

A day before the wedding celebrations began, we flew to Dubai for a small pre-wedding session with the couple. Nikita didn’t want the cliche desert shots for their pre-wedding as Dubai is her home. Instead, they wanted a peaceful and intimate shoot in their home garden. And in our opinion, that made it much more special. (And what a garden it was, lush jungle in the middle of a desert!)

We still wanted to get some shots of them during the sunset, so we drove to the beach near their wedding venue to get a few portraits of them in the water. And to our luck, the skies didn’t disappoint!

The wedding celebrations started with a casual and fun Rodeo themed evening. The aim was to have a quiet night with friends and family before the wedding chaos ensued.

Part 2: White Wedding

Nikita and Patrick planned not one, but two weddings – the first of which was the white wedding (which we were really looking forward to!). Before the ceremony, we captured Nikita and Patrick with their best buddies, getting ready for one of the most important and beautiful days of their lives.

Patrick entered the venue with his mother, while Nikita made her much awaited bridal entry hand-in-hand with her father. All eyes were on our beautiful bride.

The wedding officiant was a young minister who made the ceremony quite fun and interesting. But it was Patrick who got Nikita all emotional and teary eyed with his beautiful vows.

We got a few portraits of the newly-wed couple and their bridesmaids and groomsmen before the wedding reception.

Part 3: Reception

Nikita and Patrick entered their reception all happy and dancing! Soon, it was time for the couple’s first dance, and then came the father-daughter dance. One of the most special things about their reception was a bouncy castle. We’ve never seen one at a wedding so of course, we had to get in on the action and make some images!

Guess someone had too much fun!

Part 4: Hindu wedding ceremony

This was quite special, as Nikita’s mother helped her get ready for the Hindu wedding. It’s uncanny, they look so much alike they could be sisters!

Since we were in Dubai, we wanted to make a bridal portrait with the Burj Khalifa in the background.

Patrick and his family and friends were such great sports at the baraat. Although, no one really knew what they were supposed to do, they had fun just dancing to the beats.

The wedding ceremony was an intimate one, full of love and warmth between the two families.

Part 5: The Grand Budapest night

The theme of the night was ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel‘. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were in coordinated outfits and the night was made super fun by their dance performances.

Dubai really lived up to it’s name and we had a great (and exhausting) time making this story. Don’t forget to watch their video trailer below! We wish Nikita and Patrick a lifetime of happiness t(w)ogether!
